A native of Asheville, Joanna started her Real Estate career in 2005 after returning home from living in New York City & Los Angeles, California. Joanna never stopped considering Asheville her home and always knew she would return. ""When you love a town as much as I love Asheville, it's easy to share that with people who are looking for a home."" She left a job in the film industry and upon her return to Asheville, Joanna was excited to start her new career as a Realtor.

Joanna was Rookie of the Year in 2005 and Agent of the Year in 2007. She is often a top producer. She was one of the top 100 Realtors in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2020 & 2021. Joanna is very detailed oriented and a great communicator - she returns phone calls as soon as humanly possible. She feels that much of her success is due to the fact that she is a native of Asheville and loves to "show off" her hometown!

Joanna isn't constrained when it comes to her personal accomplishments either. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the School of Music at UNC-Greensboro. She lived in New York City for 17 years and while there, sang with the New York City Opera Company and performed on Broadway and in National Tours of CATS, SHOWBOAT, THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER IN CONCERT, and others. She appeared with Sarah Brightman at the London Palladium and she also has the distinct honor of having been one of Josh Groban's vocal coaches while living in Los Angeles.

When not selling real estate, she enjoys being active in her community. Joanna served 6 years as a member of the Board of Directors for the Asheville Lyric Opera Company. She is also very active at Central United Methodist Church as a choir member, soloist, was the director of the children's musicals, and a former member of the Board of Trustees. Family is important to Joanna as are her dogs Rudy and Jake. To top it off, she also finds time to give private voice lessons, coaches participants of the Distinguished Young Woman program and loves decorating and reading.

One of Joanna's greatest loves is travel. Whether it is New York for a Broadway show or on Safari in Africa, she is at home anywhere in the world. And if travel has taught her anything, it's that Asheville is one of the greatest places on earth and you CAN come home again!
